Moscow Mule
Delicious and refreshing, this recipe for a non-alcoholic Moscow Mule is just the ticket for an alternative to its boozy brother. It is the ideal zingy boost you need after a sunny, yet tiresome day. With a similar aesthetic to the classic Mojito, this blend pulls in more ginger than herb.

- 1 cup of ginger ale
- 1/2 a cup of apple juice
- 1 tablespoon of sugar

Drain the sweet substance away from any bits and onto a cool bed of ice.
Sangria
The classic Spanish red wine cocktail is given a non-alcoholic twist using a combination of black tea and pomegranate juice to match the flavour. Similarly, a boost of fresh orange or grapefruit juice are equally good alternatives. All of the taste and none of the hangover!
- 1 cup of boiling water
- 1 or two cinammon sticks
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 black tea bag
- 1 to 2 cups of pomegrate juice
- 1 medium organe
- 1 cup of juiced orange
- 1 medium lime
- 1 medium lemon
- 1 medium apple
- 2 cups of water
After pouring the boiling water over the tea bags and cinnamon, leave for 5 minutes and remove the tea bags. Add all the liquid and other ingredients into a pitcher or jug and refrigerate for over 30 mins. Serve in big goblet/balloon glasses for the true Spanish feel.
Pink Grapefruit Sour
A good alternative to a whisky sour, this cocktail substitutes whisky for ginger ale, lemon and grapefruit juice to give you that kick of flavour. For many who'd argue that ginger and lemon is a medicinal combination, the duo is highly refreshing and offers a kick!
- 1 cup of ginger ale (or beer, this isn't alcoholic but will add some fizz)
- 1/4 cup of lemon syrup or lemon juice
- 1 cup of grapefruit juice
- 1/2 cup of crushed ice
- lemon slices
Mix with a stirrer (but do not shake if fizzy!) and pour over block ice for a chilled refreshing drink.
