Christopher Kane SS19 Show Report
Entering a large concrete box room, spotlights shine down on Christopher Kane’s SS19 collection. Exaggerated silhouettes, bold colourways and exciting textures present a smart occasion focussed collection, with crystals, silk and denim brushing shoulders in perfect harmony.
From high neck lines to long lace tulle skirts, diamond checked patterns and glitter clad seams. Red and white leather boots featured in line with a key seasonal trend and were paired with Kane’s iconic red lace mid-length gowns, whilst wildly oversized shoulder pads took 80s influence to a new level.

Last year’s orthopaedic sneakers took a SS19 upgrade, alongside a rainbow clad plimsoll style and a street style aligned graphic tee print, which blend on to the front of delicate silk gowns. Blush pink mesh skirts, were met with drop hem, cape-like shirting whilst mules were updated with crystals and cut outs. Double strapped sandals see another season, paired with oversized suiting, delicate silk split hem skirting and dresses alike.
Waterfall mesh gowns were coated in traditional patterns, shimmering crystal details and sequined lapels. An ever-wearable pair of 80s inspired high-waisted jeans paired with a elegant white shirt blown out of proportion with large triangle shoulders. Simple in colour and over effective in detail, a bold primary palette of aquamarine green, blue and red, underpin the next season at Christopher Kane.
