London Fashion Week Men’s: Art School AW17
Each season Fashion East presents the collections from those new up and coming labels, the ones to watch outside of the main schedule consisting of the more established names.
At LFWM Autumn/Winter '17 it was new kids on the block ART SCHOOL that stole the show and got most people talking. Founded by designers Eden Loweth and Tom Barratt, this was the duo's first collection - no mean feat considering they both graduated in June 2016 (from Ravensbourne and CSM, respectively).
At the top of the show space just off Oxford Street, the showgoers were presented with a performance by the Theo Adams Company, dressed head to toe in ART SCHOOL's AW17 collection. Taking inspiration from Diaghilev's Ballet Russes and the Bauhaus movement, said collection explored non-binary identity and the idea of dancers and artists living free from constraints and traditional notions of gender.
