Playful Prints for Pre Fall’18 with Victoria, Victoria Beckham

Most recognisable for her take on denim, the ‘perfect’ tee and relaxed tailoring, Victoria Beckham’s style has taken on a playful fashion perspective with her companion line Victoria, Victoria Beckham.

In her latest Pre Fall collection, it is clear she took inspiration from her family vacation to Tanzania, offering a variance of colours, textures and styles. Traces of the trip also lie amongst the prints, showcasing zebra, tiger and palm tree impressions. A 1970’s influence informs slim silhouettes with masculine overtones, detailed with embroidery, jacquards and tuck stitching. The denim involved within the collection aims to emphasise the retro mood highlighting acid washes, wide legs and kick-flare jeans.

Maintaining the theme of exploring the jungle, the collection exhibits a tuxedo cut like a safari suit and silk pyjama shirts with matching pleated skirts, taking on wildlife designs cut to an elegant taste. Appealing for both day and evening wear, the strong structure and electric blue offers a clean take on classic fabric.

Victoria Beckham has also inspired a new form of denim jacket. Dubbed “The Shaket”, the shirt styled jacket can be worn both ways as an open throw over or a stylish shirt. Similar experimentation within the collection can be found within the military styled outerwear designs. The reversible Shearling Jacket can be worn exposing a leather or wool exterior, making it the perfect winter investment for those upcoming cold and wintery days. Other outerwear within the collection is seen to be moderately oversized, detailed with tuck stitched sleeves, quality woven wool and a flattering mid-length hem.
