Inside F House
Approximately 20 km east of Tel Aviv, F House – designed by Pitsou Kedem Architects – is a modern home designed to be open and seamlessly bring all of the visitor’s experiences together, whilst still allowing for privacy.
From the outside the house appears as though an opaque monolithic slab covered in dark stone, with a tree-lined path leading up to the inner courtyard sat next to it, accessible via a semi-opaque slatted wooden wall and doorway. This leads through to enclosed grounds which showcase the building fully; a minimalist block of large white volumes with walls composed of floor-to-ceiling windows.
The house is made up of open-plan spaces and internal courtyards. A sole tree emerging from gravel sits in a courtyard next to the kitchen, with glass walls and level surfaces creating the feeling of bringing the outside in, as does the swimming pool in the garden, wrapped by a low glass balustrade.
Inside the space is as minimalist as the exterior. Floors are either pale wood or pale concrete, with clean white walls and neutral colours throughout, offset by the black steel-rimmed windows, black geometric pendant lighting and pieces of modern art.
