Fusing minimalism and maximalism throughout their jewellery collections, Pearl Octopuss.yis our go-to for unique, bold and eccentric jewellery designs. This Oslo-based jewellery brand began when the founder Cathrine Børter started making her own jewellery during her first maternity leave, by accident, having previously been a women's wear designer for almost a decade prior. When we fast forward to present day, Pearl Octopuss.y has collaborated with the likes of Baum und Pfergarten and Jason Wu and continues to create beautiful, handmade pieces with care for detail. With Christmas around the corner, we sat down with the Founder of Pearl Octopuss.y, Cathrine Børter, to find out what her top pieces from Coggles would be at the top of her Christmas wish list this year.
1. Pearl Octopuss.y Les Créoles Petites Two-Tone Hoop Earrings
"To pick something from my own brand, I really love these. They have been in our collection for a while, but I'm still not over them. They've become a classic staple for us. The donut is detachable to you can also wear just as simple gold hoops. They're also very flattering and most people look really good in these, because they're the perfect size. Not too big or small. On my wish list this year!"
2. Anine Bing Quinn Wool and Cashmere-Blend Blazer
"My staple wardrobe and everyday go-to is definitely the blazer. This one is in a warmer cashmere blend, so I will be wearing it when it's colder, and can also use it more towards Spring time as an outerwear jacket. I need this!"
3. Anine Bing Carmen Faux and Recycled Leather Trousers
"As I wear a lot of black, I love to play with textures to elevate the basic look. These trousers are also perfect as they are thicker and more structured for the winter season."
4. Gucci Not A Fork Metal Rectangular-Frame Sunglasses
"I love a pair of eccentric and coloured-lens glasses. I wear a lot of black, so I have a lot focus on accessories in my styling, especially with sunglasses. They are definitely my favourite accessory next to jewellery! They change your look in a second!"
5. AMI Wool-Blend Double-Breasted Coat
"I absolutely love this coat! I have a weakness for grey, and this elephant tone is just perfect. I love the oversized menswear fit and would style this with lots of brooches and a baggy suit."
6. De La Vali Vivienne Satin Midi Dress
"Okay, don't get me started on this dress! Silky and perfect emerald green. So sexy, but still super classy. This is coming to my New Year's Eve party!"
7. Hunza G Ursula Seersucker Swimsuit
"I'm planning a trip to a warmer place soon, and this cut-out bikini is most welcome to join in the suitcase! Love the intricate yet flattering design."
9. Coperni Mini Lady Leather Bag
"I really love this brand and their smart and clean design. I'm not really a bag lady, but I appreciate so much how this communicates quality and heritage in a modern way."
10. Le Creuset Signature Cast Iron Round Casserole Dish - 28cm - Shell Pink
"One of the things I enjoy most about the holiday season is cooking! I would love to serve a long-cooked boeuf bourguignon to family and friends in this gorgeous pink pot from Le Creuset."
11. Isabel Marant Women's Castay Leather Chelsea Boots
"I live in Norway and during Winter time, the weather is always sloppy - so these chelsea boots will be perfect for the slippery roads."
12. Vivienne Westwood Embroidered Logo Wool Scarf
"Say no more! A good scarf is mandatory in anyone's winter wardrobe."
13. Our Legacy Brushed-Knit Cardigan
"Knitwear is always a but tricky for me, so I tend to buy men's knitwear instead. I like the oversized and relaxed fit of this one, and the brushed texture makes it even cooler. I would wear this as a blazer, with just a bra underneath, tailored trousers and high heels. Perfect warm office look."
