Mathew Borrett's love of illustration stems from his childhood, spent taking cover from pollen in his bedroom drawing, building elaborate structures and playing retro computer games during the summer months in rural Quebec.

His love of drawing and structure has transferred beautifully into his work as an adult with complex pencil drawings, mazes and elaborate structures forming his signature style.
