Yorkshire Sculpture Park Museum
The Yorkshire Sculpture Park has been a firm favourite of art lovers since its inception in 1977. The independent museum sprawls through the 18th Century Bretton Hall Estate in Yorkshire, leading you through a trail of sculptures, art work, exhibitions and hidden treasure around the grounds. Beautiful dappled by the light of the summer sun and equally so covered with a dusting of snow, the landscape blends perfectly with the art work dotted throughout becoming a work of art itself.
The Yorkshire Sculpture Park has been recognised and awarded with the Art Fund Prize for Museum of the Year 2014, with fierce competition from museums including Tate Britain and The Hayward Gallery. Astounded by the artistic vision, sensory environment and the harmonious integration of art with nature, the judges selected YSP as the winner.
Experience the breath taking environment for yourself to see artwork from Barbara Hepworth to Henry Moore dotted across the hills.
