Behind the Scenes at Coggles SS17

The arrival of spring brings with it the promise of new, of fresh beginnings. Spring/Summer ’17 is marked by the modern classics; reworked styles from bygone eras that are updated to become contemporary and relevant.

It’s the ‘50s Cuban collar modernised in monochrome; the suit relaxed, loosened and worn with a printed sweat; pyjama-style pieces in neutral colours and subtle detail; the ‘90s favourite track pant in a wide leg and just the one bold stripe.

SS17 is about variety, individuality and experimentation. Bralette over a t-shirt? Sure. Dainty florals punked up with chunky studded flats? But of course. At Coggles we decided to put our own spin on the trends for this season, encapsulating the looks through the medium of film, creating a sense of effortlessness through style with pieces from Ganni, YMC, Helmut Lang and more.

We went behind the scenes at the shoot for an exclusive insight into the production. Shot in a Manchester loft, the pared-back location offers a natural, fresh backdrop to some of this season’s must-have pieces.
