Celebrating The 1st Birthday Of Our Coggles Store
Originally established in 1974 by Victoria Bage, the Coggles’ history began in York and born from a revengeful marriage breakdown whereby fury was channeled into a business opportunity; hence the Coggles brand name origin.
But after 4 decades of influential work and great appreciation for fashion, books, homeware, footwear and more, Coggles reinvented the original store with a modern edge.
Today Coggles celebrates 1 year of the bricks-and-mortar store, a physical extension of Coggles.com, set in a restored bank. Nominated for the Drapers Award for Best Store Design under 50,000 sq ft 2018, the space has merged original features from the old bank with contemporary design. In alignment with the online presence of Coggles, the luminous, spacious notion of the store still stands with elegant simplicity. A dedicated homeware room, accessory vaults and an executive fitting room enhance the luxury experience of shopping at Coggles.
Adding in store exclusive designers such as Isabel Marant, Acne and Danse Lente to the line up alongside brands such as Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, JW Anderson, Ganni and Maison Margiela, Coggles presents a carefully edited offering.
To celebrate we invited local actress and model, Maddison Jaizani down to the store to pick out her must have pieces of the season. One to watch, you’ll recognise her from hit series Versailles and Into the Badlands as well as seeing her on editorials and runways across the globe.
With her dark cropped hair, delicate features and fashion forward style, Maddison balances standout fashion pieces with effortless styling. We can’t wait to replicate her look.
We met with her in store to shop amongst our new brands and pick out her top twelve favourite items…
