London Fashion Week: Burberry AW15
Named ‘Patchwork, Pattern & Prints’, Burberry’s AW15 collection was one of luxe bohemia. Taking inspiration from the late 1960s/early 1970s, Christopher Bailey has created a colourful, whimsical collection for Autumn/Winter.
Tan suede fringing was used on skirts, trench coats, ponchos and handbags, as well as heeled ankle boots. Suede was also found in oversized pea coats and patchwork thigh-high boots in navy, olive green and red. Vintage style dresses topped with waistcoats and bralets floated down the runway, and mosaic-embellished crop tops were mismatched with high waisted skirts.

For Burberry’s AW14 collection, Christopher Bailey introduced the blanket cape, and this season he’s brought it back. This time they were in patchwork floral and mosaic prints or block colours in dark blues and greens, all edged with fringing.
Burberry’s notorious trench coats featured once again, although they weren’t as prominent as previous collections. This season, the classic trench was updated to fit in with the rest of collection, seen in dark purple with floral edging, burgundy with a sheepskin collar, and leopard print.
