London Fashion Week: Markus Lupfer SS16
A continuation of his AW15 collection, the Markus Lupfer SS16 collection was full of florals, embellishment and ‘90s cool-girl attitude.
The historic venue on London’s Horse Guards Avenue was filled with stemmed flowers, taking us into the Mexican wilderness complete with taco and guacamole canapés, and margaritas that were far too strong for 11.30am. The collection took on a similar theme, with black bomber jackets, dresses and sheer t-shirts featuring prints of luchadors holding flowers, and black sheer dresses and parka-inspired jackets coming complete with embroidered floral prints.
The colour came in baby pink dresses adorned in metallic rose gold flowers, pink and black pyjama-inspired two sets, and pink, gold and blue floral embellishments on the black skater shoes and chokers.
Lupfer’s signature sunglasses made an appearance too, this time coming thick-framed and with star shapes reminiscent of those famous Mexican wrestling masks.
