Edinburgh Gin
Here at Coggles, we're big believers in buying into not just a product, but a product's story. That expands past fashion and into all walks of life. So when we find a great product, with a great story too, we just can't resist. Edinburgh Gin falls into this category.
Produced in small batches and packed full of the finest junipers, the award winning Edinburgh Gin is produced by The Spencerfield Spirit Company, a family run business founded in 2005 by husband and wife Alex and Jane. Alex was the former marketing director and whisky aficionado for Glenmorangie who began with the aim of saving Scottish orphan brands for the iconoclastic drinker. 9 years on and the pair have come a long way since the company's early days, with four different types of Edinburgh Gin now making up the range, including Raspberry. Elderflower and Spiced Orange flavours. With it's art-deco style labelling the gin is reminiscent of the glory days of cocktails, such as the iconic 1920s and combined with it's fresh clean flavours we're in full agreement that the gin tastes as good as it looks.
Surrounded by rolling fields of wheat and barley and overlooking the Firth of Forth and monumental Forth Rail Bridge, the Spencerfield Farmhouse is where the company calls home. It's pretty and picturesque, with the company priding itself on being a small close-knit family business.
