Puma X Karl Lagerfeld Women's Alteration Trainers - Puma White

Drawing inspiration from an imagined post-apocalyptic world, the ‘Alteration’ trainers are born from a Puma x Karl Lagerfeld collaboration. Sporting exaggerated proportions, the shoes are otherworldly, with zig zag stitching calling to mind a Frankenstein-esque creation.

Each element of the shoe plays with contrast, combining different prints, colours and textures. Repeated branding forms a print across the upper, divided by exposed contrast stitching to give the panels an unusual and asymmetrical shape. This patchwork-effect gives the design an unearthly feel, emboldened by the chunky sole, where three shades of white are stacked to form the curvaceous silhouette. The grey panels at the toe contrast with the pop of red at the heel, which brings colour to this creation.
